Before beginning any significant change, answer these honestly, in writing. A "no" isn't a stop sign, it's a to-do list.
Awareness
Can I state, in one sentence, why this change matters now, beyond a vague sense that something should be different? Would that sentence survive a skeptic asking "why now, specifically?"
Trust
Do I trust myself to follow through once the early energy fades? What does my track record with similar commitments honestly show, and what will I do differently this time?
Capacity
Looking at my actual calendar for the next month, where will this fit? What will I stop, reduce, or delegate to make room, named specifically, not "I'll find the time"?
Urgency
If I delay this six months, what genuinely gets worse? If the honest answer is "nothing," is this the right change, or the right time?
Resources
What do I need that I don't yet have, skills, support, tools, information? Who could provide it, and have I actually asked?
